Nice work! I will test on a raspberry pi running Jessie. One question though, will the program also work from cli?? Thanks. You can start Gvpngate from a command line in a terminal, but no, there isn't a command line version. Gvpngate uses GNOME's Network Manager to connect and you have to have GNOME installed anyways, so I didn't see the need for it.

Hi, thanks for the work, very useful! Just wondering if this works on Linux Mint?
Also, is the app accessing the official vpngate.net website to put the servers? If yes, is it possible to change the url to the website's mirror urls to bypass gov blocking in China?

Hi, thanks for the work, very useful! Just wondering if this works on Linux Mint? Yes. I have tested it on Linux Mint 17.3 Cinnamon (Rosa). Also, is the app accessing the official vpngate.net website to put the servers? If yes, is it possible to change the url to the website's mirror urls to bypass gov blocking in China? Based on my testing, the CSV list doesn't get copied to the mirror sites and is only available at the vpngate.net site. A workaround is to manually create a VPN connection that can access the main site and then run Gvpngate or manually download www.vpngate.net/api/iphone/ into a file named vpn.lst and save to your ~/.gvpngate directory. If Gvpngate is unable to download the list, it falls back to the vpn.lst file if it exists. Once you have Gvpngate running with the vpn list filled, just create a VPN connection with Gvpngate that can access the vpngate.net main site and use the Refresh button to update the vpn list to get the latest copy.
